About Ottawa Moms and Wives of Faith
We are a new group, to help, nurture and inspire Christian mothers. We all live a busy life, especially with children! There are soccer games, music lessons, family trips, laundry, house work..the list goes on. But being grateful for each of these things can be trying in todays world. We need to remember where it all comes from. We live in a busy world where we can lose site of what is important. We are all here in this group, to support each other. To pray for each other. To share scriptures and stories of faith and motherhood in general!
ALL WOMEN are welcome! Christian or non-Christian
- Working or stay at home moms
- Wives and moms interested in learning more about God, in a fun, encouraging atmosphere
- Women, single or married (you don't have to have children to join this wonderful group!)
While this will be a non-denominational group, all denominations are welcome. You are encouraged to participate in group events once per month, but if you can't make it all the time, you can participate on the message board. This will help us get to know you better!
And a little word about membership dues - this website is not free to run. In order to help with the costs, we ask all members for a $3.00 yearly membership fee that is payable upon joining.
We have fun! We love being with each other, making new friends and sharing with others this hope we have in Jesus Christ! It is my hope that this group will make a positive impact through missions & relief projects, charities and volunteer works in the community of Ottawa!
Here are just some of the events we'll do:
- Bible Studies
- Monthly Charity Projects(raise funds and/or give/collect donations for the "Charity of The Month")
- Volunteer Work (soup kitchens, crisis pregnancy centers, hospitality homes etc.)
- Evangelistic Adventures (orphanages, hospitals, local soup kitchens, Samaritan's Purse etc.)
- Christian Parenting Support and Prayer Support
- Moms Night Out (coffee nights, game nights etc.)
- Family Events (Bar-B-Q, beach etc.)
- Playgroups, Park dates, Group outings etc
